Turning Donated Thrift Shop Items into Food -- Quite a Feat!
We are famous for our ever-changing thrift shop stock, replenished nightly and priced to sell – which makes our thrift shop among the most interesting around. Beyond what you would expect, we also have incredibly unique items for sale at any given time. These might include Waterford goblets, Depression glass, retro clothing, a cedar chest, a popcorn popper, holiday decorations like-new gowns, original paintings, and more!
We welcome donations of just about anything, of the quality that you would give to a friend. While open, we accept donations around back through our door. When closed, we have a large blue donation bin. Our volunteer “sorters” meticulously cull the best of our donated goods and ready them for sale in the shop, or storage for another season. If you have unusable fabric or clothing, please separate and label those for our recycling program.
We also have volunteer staff in the front of the store, constantly straightening out all of our stock and keeping it in ship shape, nicely organized and arranged for the next interested shopper to come through our door!
Would you like to volunteer in one of these positions? We welcome men and women to help in all aspects of our organization. We have fun while doing good work. The mood in our store is upbeat, welcoming, and generous. Join us!
You can help us make a difference by contributing to our efforts.
